Q.      My child has to miss practice, a scrimmage, or a game?

A.        It is crucial that you let the coach know if you are going to miss an event. Our staff is asked to plan their practice session and if we have players missing it can affect the goals of the session. We encourage players to call the coach directly especially U13 and older. Parents can always e-mail the coach or team managers so long as it is ahead of time.

Q.      I have general team informational questions (e.g., snacks, schedules, pictures, etc.)?

A.        Teams have a team manager that is in charge of basic team information.

Q.      I think my child is having problems with the coach?

A.        Initially you should ask to speak to the head coach. If you are uncomfortable speaking with the head coach it would be appropriate to ask another person (someone you are comfortable with and who is involved with the team) to be present at the meeting (e.g., the assistant coach, team manager or team parent, and/or the director of coaching).

Q.      I think my child should be playing up within his/her age group or up in the next age group?

A.        The Technical staff make all decisions regarding a player “playing up” whether this is within his or her age group or up an age group. You will need to contact the respective Technical Director.

Q.      My child is asked to be a guest player for another club?

A.        Guest playing of to other Clubs is prohibited except in rare circumstances involving college showcase tournaments involving age groups being scouted by college coaches where the team on which the invited player is a member do not provide sufficient exposure to college level showcase tournaments. During the football season (September 1st - August 31st) if a player is asked to guest on a team from another club, the coach from the other club must contact the Club President or his/her designee in writing and the decision to allow the player to participate must be approved in writing by the President or his/her designee (please refer to the section on Poaching). Your child is not allowed to practice or play with another team without first getting approval from the technical director. A Head Coach is not authorized to make this decision without the express permission of the technical director.

Q.      I have a problem within my team?

A.        Initially any team problem should be addressed within that team by the head coach. If a reasonable or acceptable solution cannot be reached, the head coach should contact the FSC Technical Director. Whenever there is uncertainty as to the correct procedure the FSC Technical Director should be contacted.

Q.      I have a FSC issue in general?

A.        The head coach should then contact the appropriate FSC Staff member and if necessary the issue can be brought before the FSC Board of Directors. The person(s) submitting the complaint must make any formal complaint in writing.

Q.      I have tried to come up with a solution to a problem concerning my team, talked with my child’s head coach, appropriate FSC Coordinator, and I still feel dissatisfied with the results?

A.        If you feel that you have gone through all the appropriate channels of communication you can contact the President directly. If it is felt that the problem or issue needs further consideration at a level higher than those already used then the President will bring it the board’s attention in order for the matter to be resolved. The person(s) submitting the complaint must make any formal complaint in writing.
